Christian & Spiritual Donegal

Ireland is famous for it’s Saint, St. Patrick and rightly so. Festivals worldwide are dedicated to him, he is steeped in myths and legends, and his use of the shamrock has gone down in history. But there is so much more Christian and spitual heritage steeped in the country. Here are a few places of interest in Donegal alone.

Lough Derg Place of Pilgrimage. Lough Derg, or St Patrick’s Purgatory as it is traditionally known as, is Ireland’s most ancient place of pilgrimage and is situated on Station Island, near the small village of Pettigo, County Donegal. Visit Website
